In 1989 vonden 205 premières plaats, 7 meer dan in 1988.
Het aantal titels dat met minder dan 6 kopieën in roulatie bedroeg in
1989 121; in 1988 114.
Evenals in 1988 werden de meeste titels uitgebracht door United In
ternational Pictures, die Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures en
M.G.M, en United Artists in Nederland vertegenwoordigd. U.I.P zal,
hoewel deze cijfers nog niet bekend zijn, de hoogste omzet in 1989
behalen, met op zijn minst tien titels in de Top-20.
Het aantal kopieën per titel steeg van 10,0 naar 11,0. In absolute cij
fers van 1.976 naar 2.279, ruim 15,3%.
